[ March 10, 2010; 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. ] Our next meeting is upon us already. They always seem to sneak up so fast. This meeting will be in the room behind the humongous globe next to the kids’ section, towards the front of the library at 7PM. We have another full agenda, but not quite as much business this time around. The Executive Board [...]
I just finished watching Dan Brown’s Angels & Demons last night. I guess this is a spoiler, but the bad guys win in the end. I kid, I kid. The Catholic church survives a huge, elaborate conspiracy devised by one of their own in an attempt to bring their religion onto an even footing with [...]
[ February 13, 2010; 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. ] We have our next installment of the coffee klatch tomorrow at the Firefly on North Anthony from 10AM to 1PM or whenever everybody runs out of things to talk about or money for coffee; whichever comes first.

Our February meeting is this Wednesday, February 10th, at 7PM in meeting room C of the Main branch library. There will be an important meeting Sunday, January 31st at 6pm at Andy Welfle’s house concerning drafting the new amendment to our FFW Constitution about a governing committee. This meeting will be used to hopefully finalize the amendment for proposal and vote at our regular February meeting next month.
If you do not know where Andy [...]
Hi everyone. In some weird twist of fate, I have become FreeThought Fort Wayne’s second President. I have already been helped by getting Joel as our new VP and Sandy as our new Secretary. I expect they will both fill in admirably for the upcoming year. Our first President, Andy Diekroger has assumed the Treasurer [...]
Here’s a quick article from foreignpolicy.com that has Sam Harris going all Modest Proposal-like on Karen Armstrong.
I like Ms. Armstrong. She is extremely knowledgeable about religion and seems to represent, to me at least, what I think most people believe “True Religion” (copyright pending) stands for.
She apparently believes all of the extremists and fundamentalists of [...]
