Skepticism
Man in coma for 23 years, now finger pointing way too fast.
Littlejohn read my mind by commenting about this media sensation case. This appears to be a case of facilitated communication. First watch this video and notice how fast the facilitator is supposing reading his reactions and typing. Foul! No way. Steve Novella sums this up better than I could. Check out his take and the doctor’s reaction. Brain scans have shown an improvement so it is possible he is more conscious than he once was but he was not communicating in that video.

Crap, I am so tired I did the comma instead of coma mistake… I need a facilitated communicator.
My letter on this subject ran in today’s Journal Gazette. It will be interesting to see if anyone writes to dispute the matter.
It seems like some sort of woo-meister comes out of the woodwork at times like this. Letters to the editor take about a week to work their way through the newspaper channels, but I have a feeling that could change should anyone argue with me.
WHERE IS OPEN FRIDAY FORUM!!!!!!!
It’s in the land OF ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. I recommend Tim Zank’s blog.
Who is Tim Zank, other than a real estate broker from Angola who runs two blogs with bad layouts?
I might enjoy drinking with him. He’s rather astute in his observations of political hypocrisy.
And why wasn’t there a Friday Forum?
I kind of like Tim too. We argue with each other on Leo Morris’s Opening Arguments blog at the News-Sentinel.
Tim’s an Obama-hating ultra-conservative and I’m a bleeding-heart socialist. I tease him about his fondness for capital letters and excessive punctuation. It drives him nuts when I use that tack to change the subject.
Dear Tim Trolls. LOL
