FreeThought Fort Wayne meets every second Wednesday of the month to discuss business, view presentations by members and general shenanigans.
What: FreeThought Fort Wayne August Meeting
When: August 12, 2009 7:00PM – 9:00PM
Where: Main Branch, Allen County Public Library (MEETINGROOM B)
Desc: Our regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Normal group business and socializing. New members are welcome.
At this meeting we will be discussing the option of joining Atheist Alliance International. That will require updating and amending the constitution slightly. We also need to vote on the design and production of FreeThought Fort Wayne bookmarks, marketing materials, and web hosting. I hope we will be done with business early to spend the rest of the time welcoming any newcomers that have visited us during the Robert Price lecture or our recent coffee klatches. Plus, I will open the meeting to hear stories from the creation museum tour with PZ Myers and stories from The Amazing Meeting. I am sure we would all love to hear about those experiences. The following monthly meeting on Sept 9th will feature John Loftus speaking on the problem of evil. I hope to have a science or a civil rights speaker next.
If you have any ideas or questions please use the contact form or just post a comment on this post. As usual the discussion will be moved to a local pub. The public is always welcome. Please check the website in case there are changes.

Accidentally saw the news referencing Free Though Fort Wayne. I am finally glad like minded individuals are gaining social footing. I tend to change my belief system (mostly agnostic and/or skeptic) depending on new information, which seems to arrive daily. I wanted to know if you were aware of a site put up by the Rational REsponse Squad;http://www.rationalresponders.com/. They seem to be doing about the same thing as you.
Hope to make a meeting someday, it would be nice meet others who are rational.
Kim
Hi Kim,
We would love to meet you at our meetings or social events. Keep an eye on our website for more upcoming events if you can’t make this one.
I am curious by what you meant by “accidentally saw the news” referencing FreeThought Fort Wayne. Do you mean the Journal Gazette newspaper article on the living section or did you hear about us on TV or radio? I am not aware of that and would love to know what you heard or saw.
Thanks,
Andy
