The Demon-Haunted World with Carl Sagan on Charlie Rose

PZ Myer’s embedded this video with Carl Sagan on Charlie Rose due to the ongoing debate with Chris Mooney and Sheril Kershinbaum, the authors of “Unscientific America.”  In Mooney’s book, there is a chapter on the new atheism and how it potentially hurts public science literacy.  The idea is the new atheism scares some away from science altogether.  PZ suggested we listen to Carl in his own words.  I think Mooney and Kershinbaum may be overstepping a bit but I am glad this video was pointed out.

This is a much watch for any skeptic.  I do have “Unscientific America” on reserve at the library and will comment on it after reading it.
