Daddy, all I want for Christmas is the truth!

One of my favorite holiday sites is WrongCards, eCards that are “wrong for every occasion!” Here’s a great freethinking card:

‘Nuff said.

    Dude, lay off Santa. We knew it was our parents and it was great fun. In fact, I think Santa is a great first skeptical lesson. Sometimes we can take the reason thing a little too far.

    Don’t take away my festivus! I will see you all at the coffee thing this weekend for our make shit festivus-for-the-rest-of-us party!!! :)

    Maybe Santa is really just god in disguise. (Or should it be ‘god in da skies’?)

    You better watch out
    You better not cry
    Better not pout
    I’m telling you why
    Santa Claus is coming to town
    He’s making a list
    And checking it twice;
    Gonna find out who’s naughty or nice
    Santa Claus is coming to town
    He sees you when you’re sleeping
    He knows when you’re awake
    He knows if you’ve been bad or good
    So be good for goodness sake!
    Oh, you better watch out!
    You better not cry
    Better not pout
    I’m telling you why
    Santa Claus is coming to town

    Consider the parallels:
    * He’s omniscient.
    * There is a list of who is good and who is bad.
    * You should live your life in deference to him.
    * There is an (empty) promise that he will return, someday.
    * A believer is intent on telling you all about it.

    Repent! Repent, I tell you! For the Kingdom of Santa is at hand!

    Andyscathouse,

    I wish the coffee thing was this weekend because, then, I’d be able to attend. But it’s not until next weekend. (Dec. 21)

    You know… there’s nothing to stop those of us who are interested from getting together this Sunday too…

    Just a thought ;)

    I agree with andyscathouuse.

    If you can’t have fun in life……..what is the point?
