Cliche’ Day
I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but
If you believe that it’s mind over matter and
Faith takes up where reason gives out, then remember
Ignorance is bliss only if reason is
Out of sight, out of mind.
Only God knows why
God works in mysterious ways, but if you ask me,
It’s the blind leading the blind.
It stands to reason that I have
High hopes of people
giving up the ghost.
I’ll be damned because there is
No way on God’s green earth that He is
Out of this world.
Christians may be on cloud nine, but
The sky’s the limit when it comes to
Pie in the sky gods.
You’ve got your head in the clouds and it
Stinks to high Heaven.
For if God exists, that’ll be the day
it’s Hell on Earth.
It’ll be a cold day in Hell when we live by
The Gospel Truth.
It’s ugly as sin.
Read it and weep.
The Devil is in the details.
Speak of the Devil, I’ll play
Devil’s advocate for a minute.
If your pennies from Heaven make you
Holier than thou, then here’s
My two cents:
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Beggars can’t be choosers.
All beggars teach that others should give.
And if time is money
And if money is the root of all evil,
Then there will still be Hell to pay.
I say you should count your blessings
Because shit happens.
Live and learn.
It’s now or never.
And it’s better late than never.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste and we’re all just
A stone’s throw away
From buying the farm.
Rock the boat.
Even if you’ve already jumped on the bandwagon
It’s not too late to turn the other cheek.
If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you?
When push comes to shove,
Time will tell (if we stand the test of time).
As reason slowly replaces God, it’s out with the old and in with the new.
Hopefully it will be all’s well that ends well.
That would be music to my ears.
By the way, Happy 4th (a tad early)!
